This policy explains what Dressify ("the app", "we") does with your information. It applies to the Dressify iOS app.
The photo you add of yourself, and any reference photos you add (a garment, a hairstyle, a look), are stored on your device. You can replace or delete them at any time in the app.
Before your first photo is sent, the app tells you this and asks for your agreement. When you create a look, the photos needed for that request are sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which runs on Google Cloud (Firebase) in the United States, and from there to Google's Gemini API, the AI service that produces the result. Our server passes the photos through and returns the result to your phone; it does not save your photos or the results. We ask Google not to store requests. Google may still keep request data for a limited time to detect abuse, as described in its own terms, and under those terms does not use data sent through its paid API to train its models.
Results are saved on your device in your Wardrobe. They are added to your Photos library only when you choose Save. Images created by the AI service contain an invisible watermark (SynthID) that identifies them as AI-generated.
Remove Background runs entirely on your device. No photo is sent anywhere for that tool.
If you add a note or describe a change, that text is sent with the request and handled the same way as the photos.
To keep the service secure and to apply the free trial and fair-use limits, we store:
These records contain no photos and nothing that names you. We also use Apple App Attest (through Firebase App Check) to confirm that requests come from a genuine copy of the app.
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple. We never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active; RevenueCat receives your anonymous user ID and your purchase history for this app.
The app includes Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. They collect usage statistics (such as which screens are opened), device information (such as model and iOS version) and crash reports, so we can fix problems and improve the app. This information is not linked to your name or contact details, and the app does not use the advertising identifier.
We share data with no one else, unless the law requires it.
Photos and results stay on your device until you delete them or remove the app. Usage records are kept for as long as they are needed to apply the free try and fair-use limits, or until you ask us to delete them.
Dressify is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Do not upload photos of children.
Only use photos of yourself, or of people who have given you permission.
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and show the new version in the app.
